The Deco X55 three-pack is a Wi-Fi 6 mesh system rated AX3000 and managed through the Deco app. It may suit larger homes with weak spots where a single router does not reach every room.
Product details
- Three Deco X55 units with Wi-Fi 6 rated AX3000 (2402 Mbps plus 574 Mbps)
- TP-Link quotes coverage up to 6,500 sq. ft. and up to 150 connected devices
- Three Gigabit Ethernet ports on each unit, with support for wired Ethernet backhaul
- Basic HomeShield features at no cost: network security, Quality of Service and parental controls
- Set up and managed in the Deco app; 2-year manufacturer warranty
Why you might like it
- If some rooms lose Wi-Fi, a three-unit mesh spreads coverage across the home, according to TP-Link.
- If you have wired devices such as a TV or console, each unit offers three Gigabit ports.
- If you can run Ethernet between units, wired backhaul is supported, which TP-Link says improves speeds.
- If you want basic parental controls, they are part of the no-cost HomeShield features.
Good to know
- The listing notes that most internet providers require a modem, which is not mentioned as part of this system.
- Only the basic HomeShield features are listed as no-cost; check TP-Link's details for anything beyond those.
- Coverage and device counts are TP-Link's figures.
